Barrel #394, Rickhouse K, Floor 5
Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel – R&J Discount Liquor Pick (Reviewed by Scott Hill, Chris Crow and Jay Cary in November, 2017)
Nose: Caramel and Butterscotch; cherry cola; apricot/tangerine; raisin; the alcohol is maybe too present but its not acetone; almond; dry oak; chocolate.
Palate: Creamy; rich creme brulé; unsalted butter; Nestle Crunch; vanilla; oak. This one was on the edge of rating even higher.
Finish: Medium; raisin sweetness redeveloped; almond; lingering caramel-chocolate; salted caramel; toffee. A ton of candy bar flavors on the finish.
