Last week, Jim Murray named the E.H. Taylor Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey the “Whiskey of the Year.”  Back in May, we reviewed it with overall positive reviews.

This past weekend, following conversations occurring out our September monthly tasting,  member Jay Cary was able to supply our friends at The Scotch Test Dummies a bottle of Four Grain so that they too could review and share their comments on their YouTube page.   Today, Scott and Bart posted that review.

Jim Murray Picks His Best Whiskeys of the Year

Jim Murray’s annual list of best whiskeys was announced today. For his overall winner, Murray selected the Colonel E.H. Taylor Four Grain Bourbon, which we previously reviewed shortly after its release.

Since 2004, Murray has released his Whisky Bible, which reviews a staggering number of all types of whiskeys and ranks the top three for each respective category (Bourbon, Scotch, Irish, etc.).

Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2017 Release

It is starting to feel like a ritual to usher in the Fall season, and at last, it’s here: the 2017 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection release announcement.

The Buffalo Trace Antique Collection was first introduced a little over ten years ago. It features five whiskeys (two ryes and three bourbons) that are some of the most highly sought-after in the market. Each is a pillar in the limited edition whiskey industry.
